Adaption? Anti-adaption, Serious Wetness

20 Feb 2010

I wasn't that cold when it first dropped to 16 degrees, that time i was just wearing a long sleves, but this morning everything feels so icy, where has my heat gone, absorbed by nature.

25 Feb 2010

WET ! WET !! No… I’m not wet, its the corridor, totally immerse in water due to the humidity, everything does not dry  up these few days, serious wetness. The mark of spring, 26 degrees. Finally i’ll have to say goodbye to my handsome jackets. Miss you guys, see you next year ~

Ajisen Ramen, Singapore Meehoon, Festival Walk Decorations, Schedule Making

Singapore Fry Meehoon

Singapore Fried Meehoon, this masterpiece is worth mentioning, probably the product with the best quality that comes out from Homey Kitchen. To make the above statement stand out, please take note that Homey Kitchen produces the worst of foods especially Assorted Rice.

When people ask what is the most delicious food in the world, there is only one answer for me now. Ajisen Noodles. Before I tried Ajisen Ramen, the champion is Curry Meehoon, but now, things have changed, there is always something better that is out there waiting for you to search for.

Ajisen Ramen Kowloon City Plaza 1

The Ajisen Ramen Branch in Kowloon City Plaza, the whole restaurant was totally empty by the time we arrived, absolutely amazing. The waiter was also very polite and wore a coat.

My fellow roommate, busy chatting about good food again.Decorations

Jusco at Lok Fu is going to move and there was a big promotion,  he asked me whether I want to grab a nice pot, got it for HKD140, stainless steel cookware, but I was not willing to buy the racket, it seems way to light for me. By the way, this photo shows the decoration in Festival Walk just outside our school.

Macau & Zhu Hai

It took me around 2 months to post this.Deeply apologize to myself for being such a lazy retard. Thank you yishu for writing down everything on that day as I will not remember a thing if you didn’t.

26th December 2009

Worst ferry experience ever, I almost vomited right before arriving at Macau.

Our first stop is Macau's historical site, I'll have photos posted, not much to describe.
Foods are more worth describing although I didn't took many photos about foods.
Pepper Meat Biscuit ~ Oily, pork with Jiu Chai instead of beef with Jiu Chai, I hate Jiu Chai so I better don't comment on this thing.
Pork Chop Bun ~ Normal, just fried pork chop together with a nice floury flavoured bread that tastes like the bread my mom made using the Kenwood Bread machine.
Steamed Milk ~ Tastes like milk with vinegar and a lot of liquid sugar.
Pork Chop Bun 2 - The one that we wasted 20 minutes just to queue for, absolutely dissapointing, just as normal as a normal normal porkchop + bun.
Wawa Chai Soup - the vege was quite sweet but I have no interest at all for vege soup other then vege soup that consist of vege that are not white or green in color for instance carrot, sweet corn, beans...
Wu Yu - Cooking fresh fish using such heavy sauces is not recommended, but maybe the fish is very stinky if heavy sauce is not used, I have no idea, rating for this dish, 3/5
-1 because of the bones and -1 because of the heavy taste.
Gai Lan Fa with scallops, normal scallops which I can gracefully accept and awesome broccoli which doesn't tastes bitter.

We went visiting the Venetian and another casino before we went to dinner, there are huge difference between the decorations and the environment of the Casinos. A person like me would definitely like the Venetian, 7 Star Rating for it's decoration and environment and 5 star rating for it's employee's professionalism.

Cheng Hao bought around 10 packets of biscuits as souvenirs for his friends at souvenir street, poor Ryon have to help him take all of that back to Hong Kong.

Finally, we reached Golden Expo in the Venetian, reached just on time for Mikuni Shimokawa's music fest, awesome, maybe not the best singer in the world, but definitely one of the best singer in the world having the best voice in the world. An angel's voice of harmony and power, of light and hope, Mikuni Shimokawa, I will continue to listen to your songs for quite long, if can, for the rest of my life. Too bad Cheng Hao was rushing me, if not I'll definitely buy her cd and get a signature before I leave, it's SUCH A WASTE !!!! There are only around 200 people at there and this definitely guarantee that I can get a signature from my first Idol which is a singer !!! T_T...

I have no comments about her singing, totally awesome and nonstop combining all the songs together without stopping after each song. Mikuni !! YOU ARE GODDESS!!!

27th December 2009

The worst hotel I ever lived in, everything in there is like 10 years old, especially the METAL KETTLE which is very dull in color for boiling water, I really never even seen something like that, even with a house filled with 30 year old things that were bought by my parents a long long time ago.

Today morning we went to have a walk around Gong Bei and ate MCD, MCD's Tepanyaki pork bun is quite nice but Cheng Hao have loads of comments for his Chappati chicken roll and his drinks, and my French fries. Well, since no people obey rules at all here, how would you suppose the workers in MCD to follow the MCD guidelines exactly.

When we reached Yuan Ming Xin Yuan, an old lady wanted to sell a half price ticket to us, then Cheng Hao bought it from her and then Cheng Hao asked if she can be our guide and she sent her husband to be our guide instead, then after awhile she suddenly came along as well. Then we walked around the place with them for 2 hours like that, the environment is quite nice for me, that is provided that I haven't been to the magnificent places like Peking Gu Gong, Su Zhou, Hang Zhou... etc

As for the conversations between us and the couples, its quite interesting, Cheng Hao managed to ask their occupations and perspective for life in Zhu Hai, Zhu Hai's economic potential, the salary of Zhu Hai's workers, and so on... The husband worked for the weapon's factory when he was young and his weapon factory produces guns bullets, torpedoes and one more thing I forgot, but anyway YOU ARE AWESOME !!! Mr Liu. As for Mrs Liu, she was in Thailand for many years and finally came back to China after she retired. When I said my ancestors are from Hui Zhou and I'm Hakka, she felt we were quite lucky to have met here, a Thailand Chinese and a Malaysian Chinese from the same province.

clothing

Its not ugly ducking you idiots, its a pair of loving couples kissing, the standard representation of a loving couple in ancient china.

Fishes

Fishy fishy, the amount is scary like Amazon Paranas, glad that they don’t jump up in the air.

FOOD !!

The emperor dines here?…A little bit way too normal-.-

peach tree

Pardon me, I really don’t know weather that is a Peach Tree or Cherry Blossom, but nevertheless, it attracted me in taking its photo.

Tree beside lake

That particular tree, not the best around, but luckily caught my eye.

view of yuan ming xin yuan

Garden view,  my mom would wish she had a house like this, maybe I’ll try and get her something like that in the future.

After that we went to have a lunch together, 4 dishes only cost around RMB65, cheap compared to HK.

Then we went to Wan Chai, not Wan Chai in HK, a place where they sell all the Dried Seafood and Live Seafood, almost all of the stalls sell the same thing, dont know whether they have the same boss or they all obtain their goods from the same supplier. The same goes for the Live seafood stalls, there are restaurants just right infront of the seafood stalls to cook your fresh bought fishes and crabs.

Those waitress kept on pursuing Cheng Hao and Mrs Liu to eat in their restaurant, I kept quiet the whole time, haha, thanks for taking all the saliva bombardments for me Mrs Liu and Cheng Hao. Dippity drops of rain started to fall and the wind was big at seaside, we gave up eating seafood there and head back to the hotel instead.

#^^ 2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2009, Rou, its our 5th year anniversary, I still miss you as I did at that time while I'm still living with my aunt at Taman Mutiara. Have you received my Christmas gift ? give me an answer if you did, I really hope to chat with you, we have lived a long way through this 5 years, you and me definitely grown after all these years and maybe our way of interpreting the world has also changed. 2.5 years together and 2.5 years apart, how much more hardship do we have to face to fulfill our destiny? Maybe 2.5 years of meeting up and 2.5 years again for us to settle down for our career ... and I just can't think ahead anymore, who know's what will happen tomorrow, I just want to be with you this day, I had enough of missing you already since 24th April 2007 until now^^#

Even cleaning a keyboard will get me into such idiotic acts, this is who I am, and will be…

Kitchen Chemistry

The first planned cooking mission, used around half hour ++ for buying the ingredients and half an hour more to get it cooked. HKD16.3 each person with a lot of leftover ingredients.

DSCN0873

胡萝卜炒肉

  1. 半肥瘦猪肉  - 300克
  2. 胡萝卜           -  一条
  3. 指天椒(朝天椒)- 一点

Comment : Success, a little spicy, nice fat pork and soft carrots

DSCN0874

番茄炒蛋

  1. 番茄- 2 颗
  2. 鸡蛋- 3 颗

Comment : personally don’t like this dish because of the tomatoes, but overally tastes ok, tomatoes kind of soft and watery, eggs are just alright.

DSCN0875

宫保鸡丁

  1. 鸡胸肉 - 2 块 (500克)
  2. 蒜头 - 2 片
  3. 朝天椒 - 一点

Comment : Chicken a little bit overcooked, a little bit more of onions or vege would be perfect, and the pieces should be cut larger next time.

Should I be more proactive knowing new friends?

Everyone says you should know more friends in college, truth, because you will regret if you don’t, but how far should someone go without influencing his normal life and studies, or I should be better of saying my gaming life instead of a normal life. Alvin would ask me to know more friends instead of playing  HON, I guess Power wouldn’t object that I have more friends either. Hmm……..even my fellow S3Sc would ask me what friends I knew when I return…

Lets get on to another topic

Andy Nyau’s visit to Hong Kong

After using 15 minutes to find them, and using almost an hour to hunt for a free Wifi excess, we finally found internet access inside a shop that is promoting 3G internet access. Got on to www.openrice.com  and found the restaurant.

Had a lot of food, while the things that gave me a deep impression is the stinky fish organs and oyster.

DSCN0534

Andy Nyau, don’t you think he looks a bit like Cheung Ka Fai?

DSCN0535

A friend of Andy, nice guy, looks like a good parent.

DSCN0536

Nerdy outlook, Formal shirt with Sport jacket, haha, stupid combination.

DSCN0538

Don’t know why I took this, but its quite special. That is the Hong Kong Tsim Tsa Tsui Clock Tower.

Delicious Ice Cream !! Yummy !

DSCN0542

Thanks to my nikon and a steady hand, here we have a view of Victoria Harbour. Notice that the sky is misty, it looks like a dreamland. If the skyscrapers all turn into candy bars, then its dreamland alright. We sat at there for at least 2 hours, relaxing and chatting.

#^^Again, wish you were here. Maybe I should wish for a “will” other then a “were”.^^#

Home Made Dinner

Finally can cook a nice meal within one hour having 3 person to finish all the dishes with a budget of only hkd20/person. Wonderful, planning to have homemade cooking every Saturday. I’m the one that is responsible for buying all materials. Restricted to that amount of cash is quite a big challenge, turns out to be a very nice practical training for me.

It should be starting to turn warm tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to it. Warmth, heat, blushes.

Desk

Desk, the orange peels didn’t gave out much fragrance,  left it there because my shoes stink, although they are 12 feet away.

Temp with Heater

Temperature with the heater on for the whole morning, you can imagine how weak my heater is, but at least it did make a 10 degree difference while cooperating with the window.

Nice shot

Tried out my camera again, exploring every little tiny tweak of it, here we got a nice shot, ought to post, rare.

Victory Garden Carnival, turns out to be Harbour Tour for us, thanks to my common sense

After having dinner at Festival Walk, I suggested going Victoria Garden New Year Carnival, but at last it turns out to be a hiking trip in the city, sorry everyone, I didn’t mean it !!

Victoria Garden at Night

There was this uncle joging along the road just right at the time Vivian said only fat people will jog at night to conceal their tummies, wahhaha !! Uncle : “Care your words young lady.”

Fishing Bag

This funny uncle was fishing something very heavy, and at last found out that it was Welcome’s plastic bag filled with water, I laugh all the way from head to toe, too bad he didn’t come to beat me up ~.~

On the Bridge at Tin Hao

Aiks, not a bad night after all, good views, but it would be perfect if she was with me instead, nah, power will have my head on the rocks if I ever bring her to such a Carnival… see the following photos

Sea of Human 2 Sea of Human

@@,  Damn you Carnival !! To be honest, the girls on Hong Kong Island are very pretty.

Yao Teng

My ship !! Ok, its a boat, and its not mine, was not mine, will not be mine, I don’t buy secondhand boats, wahhahaha

Underground Tunnel

Pedestrian Tunnel, you believe?… Together with Sea water supply, to flush the toilets, nice use of resources.

Hiking to Big Bhudda

Journey was pleasant, something similar to Journey to the West, without a map, just by looking at road signs.

There was this pretty Turkish exchange girl Gulsya which was invited by Sherman, added a little bit of variety and livelihood into our hiking trip.

As usual I’m always on the look hunting for nice scenery, but this time I’m confidence to stop everyone to have a shot, maybe because it’s too cold, the old shy me didn’t want to show up but curled up sleeping instead.

New Temperature Record in My Life, Ocean Park, Dolphins, Pandas, Sea Lions

The temperature continues to stay around 7-8 degree celcius, and this time I’m going for the PARK !!! Temporarily the coldest CNY, ever, not to mention its 14 degrees inside after shutting the window, without heater, that is.

Hong Kong Weather Extreme

Evidence of Extreme Record

Trip To Hong Kong Ocean Park

It's quite a stupid decision to visit anywhere during CNY, except going to places where Locals and Mainlands will never go, just like Hiking up Tai Yu Shan with a bunch of friends 2 days ago.

Ocean Park Trip

These are the few attractions we had been able to cover during an 8 hour period. Damn you Ocean Paradise, sorry you are great, but its the holiday that should be blamed, definately coming for you next time if I were to go there again !! We took over 1 hour just for walking towards the exit from the beginning of the queue, not to mention we had at least 20 U turns while queuing.

Here are some selected Photos from my camera..

Captured the flying Dolphins on tape, I’ll convert it as soon as possible.
